On this week’s blog we want to take time to high light a community favorite, The Greenwood Farmers Market!
Members of the community come together every Saturday morning from 8-12 at the address listed below to sell their goods. If you are interested in checking it out hurry over because the market only runs the 2nd Saturday in May to the 2nd Saturday in October.
There is so many wonderful things to browse as you walk from stand to stand. Featured items include: fresh produce, local honey, baked goods, beautiful mums, hand made soap, hand crocheted baby clothing, homemade fresh salsa, popped on the spot flavored popcorn, freshly roasted coffee beans, bouquets of fresh local flowers, homemade dog biscuits, homemade marinades and salad dressings, and even local meat. The sights and smells alone are enough to keep you coming back each week throw in those free samples that many of the vendors give out and you’ll be as hooked as we are!
Each of the vendors must rent their booth space each week and send in a formal application to ensure that their product is legitimate. If you or someone you know is interested in renting booth space all you need to do is email firstname.lastname@example.org for an application. The cost of booth rental is $75 for the season.
Please enjoy some photos of the market!
